Fusion Bellydance & Yoga

Vox Botanica, The YoniVerse

As a tween in yoga class Jam landed in their physical body for the first time.  This life changing experience informed the next twenty years of their embodiment studies, where they dove into dance, Sufism and flesh rituals to strengthen the bridges between consciousness and the corporeal form.

They most often appear in cirque theater collaborations,  performing spoken word, fire, hook suspension and belly dance derivatives.

As a teacher Jam cultivates a sanctum for students to feel supported in their vulnerability and celebrated for their tenacity.  In addition to dance and yoga classes Jam is passionate about growing community through events and ensemble work.

Classes with Jam

This is a sampling of the usual classes Jam holds at the studio. For a full schedule of classes and start dates for specific sessions, visit www.incarnatecraft.com

Juxtapose – Mondays 7pm
Each week we learn a new combo rooted in traditional rhythms.  We geek out on comparative stylizations, creating both tribal and cabaret expressions of the combo.  Subsequent combos will build upon one another,  culminating in a class choreography at the end of our six week series.

Yoga for Dancers – Mondays 8pm
This restorative flow is centered around spinal health for dancers.  We give extra attention to the psoas, serratus, and hip flexors.  Bring a mat and a blanket if possible.  Each class ends with sound healing and optional aromatherapy.

$80 per 6 week session*
$15 drop-in (however, space is limited so drop-in will not guarantee you a spot)
*Sessions have specific start and end dates. All class payments are due by the first day of class, are non-refundable and applicable to current session only.
